They came up with a similar thing a few years back with the Jetta... was allegedly gonna be 4WD, packing a twin-turbo R36 engine, putting out 550-600bhp out of the box...

...never happened.

Best you can hope for is a sort-of working concept, like the W12.

It wont go into production because there'd be a very small market for such a thing.

I'll happily test out one of the prototype engines though... Big Smile

Twin turbo R32 lump, 4mo conversion - A mere 600BHP (but VW asked it to be turned down to 500.....)

I would love to see this actually happen, but pretty sure it will only be a 1 car concept or never actually be put into production.

that jetta is da bomb!, I like the golf but still prefer the clean look of the w12.

don't get me wrong I'd love to own them all but the mk7 looks a little busy
