Gorgeous looking motor. Basic mk7s are not my cup of tea but the GTD/GTI's are the real deal! And its black....

Very nice...question about sport mode

If you stick it in sport, everything changes which is fine. Stop the car, ignition off..get back in..the car still says it's in sport mode except it feel like its in normal so go back into sport mode on the screen, then normal, then sport and real sport mode returns.

Does this happen on yours because it happens on my GTD

Nope I can't say I have noticed that mate.

When I've left it in sports mode, and get back in after leaving it for a while, it does still go and sound like its in sports mode.

Have you turned the ESC sports mode on with Sports mode ? It seems to turn into a right beast with both of these selected.

The ESC sports option is: Car > Setup > ESC ( first option on list ) > ESC Sports ;)

Nice looking car you have there, nice to see you got a proper GTI not a silly diesel. ;-)

What a stunning looking motor, I'm certainly feeling more tempted for one. I wonder if I could tempt the Mrs into letting me buy one (next year)

My Mrs' words were, "If your buying a new car, so am I" - And she did :)

On mine (DSG) all it does when you switch it off and on again is put the gearbox back to D, but the rest stays in sport mode.

Car looks good, was that magazine feature in the 'GTI Edition'? I was in there as well! Although they got my name wrong lol

Thanks, Paul
