Hi. My mates bought a mk2 golf and wants me to convert his golf to hydraulic power steering. Hes bought pump pipes, rack, how long whats involved to u think?

nothings involved, tell your mate to get down the gym!! Its really not that heavy and will be barely noticeable when on the move. If he still wants it though id have a look for a mk3 golf service manual as they are very similar under the skin and I'm pretty sure a lot of mk3s had power steering.

I've just brought one without PS and am going to retro fit a PS system. Looked into it and if you've got all the parts its just a straight bolt on job

Yeh hes got all the bits including pipes. He just changed the ignition barrel as it didnt come with keys for column
