ok how to start this, had a touran a good while ago, refreshed it, modded it, loved it, returned to stock and sold it to fund the DTM. missed it ever since.

had to get a few more cars i fancied owning 'off my chest' in the mean time.

past few months had a b7 RS4 and have to say really not a fan, i liked the DTM more in every way except the seats.

i just broke up a mk4 1.8T i had as it was worth more in parts, this freed up some cash to look for a touran. found something about right, bit tatty, few faults, cheap money and petrol :) guy on ebay seemed honest and was really helpful so went up there sunday night, bought it in the dark with no test drive and paid in full :D

on the way home in the rs4 had i situation that has resulted in the car not being driveable. so yesterday Jamie AKA boragiant took me to collect the touran, must say given the circumstances i bought it under i'm very happy with it. drives fine, isn't as bad bodywise as the ad made out and interior isn't as bad as most.

Bad news about the RS4 :( though if anyone can fix it will be you :Y:

The touran is a nice colour, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Just a stock diesel Anni................well almost  :new-chuckle:

I had a Touran 170, heated leather, dual climate, remapped, DPF and egr delete, shocks and springs and a set of green A6 alloys. Really, really miss that car.

I saw a smart Touran on the road yesterday as happens and it got me thinking whether one of those could be after the mk4 wagon, that's a long way off though as I'm not finished with it yet.
Do they share many parts with the mk4?

Oh right I thought it'd be similar to the mk4 in some ways seeing as it's a 53 plate.
Also that light switch and inner door handle look like mk4 items.

Looks like murano/matchstick red, same colour as my mk4 1.4 16v.

Gtime - will really take off once rs4 is sorted / sold / written off, hopefully the latter. was looking into getting a Tiguan too once the RS goes :)

Jamie - indeed that is the plan but feel RS issues are going to slow me down for a bit :(

Youngdaggers - no idea what colour it is, all i know is it's not silver and it was petrol and cheap

Nice - wouldn't mind a Touran myself next. Although I kind of want to buy a big dirty 4x4 instead haha

Should look like a tidy one once you've got your mitts on it  :Y:

After a few days ownership - i love it. 330 miles covered (not carefully) and £40 fuel, the RS4 would struggle to get 90 miles out of £40

already had a set of 19" RS4 wheels and tyres in the back no problems :)

Alex - they're vans that drive like cars :D

JGW1987 - i liked my old one but don't like diesels at all

Jay - :D

so yea, last night this happened.....

Well that didn't take long ;)
So the RS is now on the touran wheels? Have the insurance people decided if they are going to repair it or write it off?

Anyhow it's already looking good :)

Jay - not sure whats next, fit the new goodies when they arrive, sort out RR somehow (no not raise the rear) then whenever what happens with rs4 will be full steam ahead :)

booster - i'll be taking off everything i can from the RS, bought some stock wheels last night and will be swapping all back, spoke to a few people who said if they take it away and it is written off then chances are i won't be able to get it back because they'll make better money auctioning it or whatever. so i'll take as much off as i can incase that happens.

Rich - as you may have heard i HATE the RS engine, my DTM was quicker at 360bhp, i was getting 12mpg average and smiles per mile was no where close to being worth that sort of money to run. just big heavy, juicy and lathargic only boost for me from now on :)

Know exactly how you feel olly, my old b5 s4, for a 2.7 and 2 turbos, it was horrendously slow and boat like, (notice how quickly they come back up for sale?) ! much prefer the 2.0t cars.

Anyways, tfsi swap tonight cheers, kthxbai

Haha soon i hope Royce but have also been offered the DTM back......

was browsing ebay for some AP coils, i love them personally, think i've had 6 sets now. but i stumbled on some KW's slightly used but excellent condition, dropped him a message but didn't want to end early so i thought i'd throw a bid in and see what happened.

Contacted the seller and drove down to horley in surrey (1hr) and collected them

Then bolted them on, the ride over springs is awesome but ride height needs tweaking and new wheels needed
