I might know of a cheap 4mo Bora without an engine?
Surely that'd be alot of fun
It was considered very early on but dismissed quite quickly - the added weight was too much of a downside when put against the slight handling benefit in stock form of the 4WD. The Bora 4Mo is also a relatively rare car so it was difficult to get one for good money. Both those things combined with us being more familiar with the 1.8T engine, what it can't, can't do, common faults etc and the V6 didn't make any sense.
There's also not a lot you can do to squeeze a little more extra power out of the V6 without putting a charger of some sort on it which would be absolutely pointless for this project - even without the cost of doing that, it's all about the power to weight ratio and being able to effectively get an appropriate amount of power down early coming out of the corners and carrying the speed through.
Being able to go quickly in a straight line but having to pussyfoot it through the corners does't really impress anyone at a track day - the people who do that are usually the ones you end up stuck behined thinking 'what a cock' as they ruin your corner lines by going slow but then refuse to let you past on the straight bits.
