No Neil. Its more my fault for the OT'ness of it.

Its informative never the less tho, which i think is still relative if people want to follow suit to Madmans work or even just giving ideas to a slightly cheaper option to the other hard pipe kits available [Y]

thank you for the links and info [Y]

 I was having this discussion with Ray (aRd) yesterday and he was very sceptical about it too, the diameter of the SFS pipe might be larger than the stock red pipe but he pointed out that the bore of the turbo connection matches the bore of the connection of the standard red pipe (he measured it)

So how does increasing in bore help if it makes it bigger than the port in the turbo connection? [8-)]

would be nice to see proof...although its not an expensive pipe @ £60 I believe. It just doesn't make sense. It would make for a nice connection to the 1.8T pancake though.[:|]

 id be willing to be guinea pig, ive got a terrible whistling noise and when revving highly stoodstill so im guessing must be loose pipes to turbo??

i want to do the upgrades of intercooler (godspeed), egr delete kit (allard), sfs pipework from allard to turbo and 1.8t pancake pipe with silicone couplings, to basically eradicate usually gremlins.

can someone tell me if this is good mods and where to locate parts/ items and prices phone numbers etc

but im up for being the trialler if they can send one out to me to test for them???

let me know

A

Well I cant see SFS sending you one for nothing,They have already tested it,SFS have a section in the Advertisers bit near bottom of front page. Post a question in there mate[Y] I think the godspeed cooler works well along with the uprated pipework. Mine is boosting really well and I now know I'm leak free[:O] godspeed intercooler is available from Turborevs on Ebay...currently not in stock though[:^)]

 Just a couple of questions regarding the IC install, did you fit a bracket to the lower mount from the chassis?

Also did you have any difficulty with refitting the bumper, as the corner of the IC catches the seam where the valance joins on mine at the moment, I know I could trim the seam but I'll re adjust the IC first to move it accross and up a bit.

I tried fitting the pipework with the EGR but it comes too far accross so I will have to fit the EGR delete now to give me more room [:(]

mine had a lower mounting bracket already...I just mounted it all to the existing mounts. I used the metal spacers from the origional mounts to make it all line up. The bumper went straight on. Has your car been in a minor bump? just wondered why the origional cooler had leaked. I never tried with the EGR valve but I can undestand it running too wide over the power steering reservoir.

 Nope never had a bump, well not on the front any how

 I will try spacing it up and see if that helps, I have the original bracket from the factory SMIC but it seems way off but there again I haven't spaced the IC up at all, I just put rubber washers underneath the brackets [*-)]

Cheers for the tip [Y]
