Have a touran at work that occasionally revs between gears like it cant find the next one to select.

We have a speed warning on dashboard and engine temp sensor fault which is being changed tomorrow.

Would any of these be causing this problem ?

Any help is appreciated.

Temp sensor might cause higher idle speed. How much variation in rpm do you get on gear change?
Also has the dsg box had services at the correct intervals?

It revs upto 3k to 3.5k then if you depress accelerator it seems to find a gear and is ok again some days it doesnt do it at all. The oil has just been changed in gearbox

Was a recalibration of the box done after the oil change? If it hasn't I'd get one done as a starter for ten. It can be done with vcds
