Might be better to look for a standard flatbed (search for milk floats maybe) and convert it.

Have you checked Autotrader? Going to be a bit of a battle to get one close to home, or a bit of a drive to get what you want maybe.

Does it have to be a transit?

Think the S plate one is the better of the 2, Th Orange one looks rough

This one I could have had for £2700

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item43a5514d80

Or this for £3000

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item3cb55ec0c1

Sadly on those 2 they both got listed when I was at work & by the time I rang them people were already on their way to see them & ended up buying them.

I went to see this one on Sunday but didnt like it

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I htink the over hang put me off the last one, It was mint but reminded me of an ice cream truck from the front

Does it have to be a transit?

Going off my links in previous post it should get me a decent enough one, Doesnt have to be a transit, Can be a Merc sprinter, Iveco or transit, Ideally would love a VW one but need more funds first

But those two look as though they've been pulled from the auction and sold for a set price. What price did they sell for? The third one is at £1900 and still has 6 days left.

Would something like a 7.5 tonne Merc be too big?

The first 2 were pulled from Auction, The S reg one I rang up on Sunday Night & he said he would take £3000 for it, Came to ring him after I finished work & he sold it,

The Blue one the guy was being messed about by some one looking it when I rang at 6:30 Monday night, Asked him how much he wanted for it said he wouldnt take less than £2700 if that person didnt buy it, He rang me back at 7:30 sying it had sold

A7.5 Tonne one would be too big really for where I would be parking it

That's a shame.

If the 7.5 was gonna be okay and the budget would stretch a little, this looks good.

Are you branching out on your own or summat?

Saw that on Ebay aswell, Up at £3250

If I was to get a 7.5 then I would like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item2eb36bf1e9

Im giving it 2 month trial on my own, If it doesnt work out then I will have to sell anything I buy so really want something that looks respectable & could sell in a couple of months if it didnt work out

At the Moment it will be for me picking up cars that I buy, My Girlfriend normally takes me to get anything but as she is doing a Uni degree to be a Teacher she doesnt really have the time anymore.

Also may advertise local Vehicle collection/delivery

Yeah can be driven on a normal licence as its only a 3.g Tonne GVW, I passed my test in 1996 so I can also drive a 7.5 Tonne one (Got in Before the Law changed)

Can pick some up for you if you want mate?

Need a new Power Lead for the Winch though, Its old one broke so the guy I got it off bought another one for it but the live & earth leads are quite short, He just used to hook them up to an extra battery on the back,

But I want to run the live from the Battery & fit an inline isolator to turn it off when not needed

Just a little update, Fitted new power leads for the winch & also converted it to a wireless remote,

Had a nice little touch added that allows me to take the keys out but leave the truck running (Ideal for when using winch & beacons) Obviously when its running with no keys in it I can put the steering lock on & lock the doors, But as an added security feature should anyone jump in it & try to drive it off then as soon as they touch the brakes the engine cuts out,

Also fitted some reflective decals down the side of the bed

Posted Image

Did my firs job in it at weekend, Picked up a scrap Pug 306

Posted Image

Also bought a cheap Saxo VTR & picked it up on the truck last night, Bought a full length beacon as the one that was on it looked a bit rubbish
