Well damm your a much better photographer than me
Thank you,and like everything it all comes with practice.Good though they are now, using a smartphone camera will always hold you back and limit what you can take photos of to close and medium range.Even if you just buy something like a second hand bridge camera (looks like an SLR but you can't change the lens),the possibilities will suddenly become endless.
The single most important aspect you need to get right in any photo is the lighting, get it right and the photo almost takes itself!

I don't 'do' the Instagram thing and have no interest in it.Apart from now having to pay for it,Flickr gives me everything I need and more.

Best way to lose weight is not drinking mayonnaise/cheese/beer everyday.

Do you pay for it? The cap is gonna kill me.
Yes I do. I've got over 3000 photos on there and don't want to delete any of them to keep below the 1000 limit for a free account.

It's expensive for only 3000.
It's not just 3000 though,it's unlimited and no ads.

Damm as if you have to pay to store pictures,
It has to be payed for somehow. If someone wanted to store stuff in my garage,I'd have to charge them to pay the rent on it.

You could host them for free on Facebook. The price you pay is loss of copyright, being spied on and being treated as the product
Not on FB, not thinking about it, never going to be on it. As and when they admit to shadow profiles then that will be removed ASAP

I do as well, but at the expense of them compressing most of the life out of them.Flickr is the best photo hosting site in terms of keeping as much of the original quality as possible. You don't lose copyright any more or less on Facebook than you do any any other social media platform, you still retain intellectual copyright and all images are covered under CCL (Creative Commons Licence).
Unless you live 100% off the grid in a cave on an island thousands of mile from the nearest land without any sort of external contact of any kind, someone will always be spying on you.Using the internet, mobile phones, credit cards, spend and save cards or even public transport season tickets tells 'them' more about you than any social media activity ever will.

Also Facebook compresses the shoot out of images, so even if you download them back from facebook they will have been resized & recompressed, so they will not be the same quality as the originals that you thought you uploaded
