Hi all,

Long since since i have had a golf (previously had gtd/gti ed35 & gti ed40).

Anyway that is about to change, i am about to buy a monster spec 2019 lapiz blue R to replace my outgoing w205 c63s coupe, yes a bit of a come down i know with respect to the golf.

Anyway can anybody recommend a good aftermarket exhaust and remap (tempted with a bluefin for user friendliness). Not after an outrageous sound, just pops and bangs.

Thanks in advance

Hiya there pal, im only 15 but i'm gonna get a 1.8GTI MK4 when I turn 16.

I strongly recommend a DSG MK7.5 R (2019) and get a straight-pipe from The Exhaust Doctor in Newcastle (theexhaustdoctor on instagram)

If you don't like straight-pipes then I also recommend either a Remus or Akrapovic exhaust. (the Akrapovic carbon tips are the ones to go for)

Hope you enjoy the Golf R!
