Hi all , just wondering if anyone has had this fault before.

Not a Mk IV but same engine, 2004 Transporter T5 1.9tdi and having an issue with the running. It'll run fine but after a while it'll just die, at idle. It will then turnover but won't start - unless you disconnect the battery then it starts on the button.

Also, when the fuel pump first primes it sounds like air in the tank / pump. If you turn ignition off / on 3 times it sounds fine.

Someone else has mentioned engine management relay but I'm struggling to find much info on it.

Got some codes too.aca2d1b50f08d24ff078a4ad8f05fee8.jpg66f866f23cc4dcdc9e961a130e79c3c0.jpg303a931edbbd31a35b622646e80642f0.jpg

the G40 sensor will be why the car won't start...
