Hi newbie here hoping someone can help. I've got a mk5 golf 2.0 tdi 140ps. Battery was dying overnight. I hooked up an amp meter, shut the car down, waited 20mins or so and removed fuses one by one to find what was drawing power.

I've narrowed this down to the multifunction control module 1. I removed the fuse and the car now starts fine in the morning so figured its likely a faulty multifunction control module 1 not shutting down and drawing power overnight. having Googled MCM I thought this might be the comfort control module but with fuse removed electric windows, interior lights still work. The only thing i have noticed that doesn't work is the central locking.

Does anyone know what/where the multifunction control module 1 is?

thank you in advance.
