Hi guys,

I'm new here and I hope to find a home here for my questions

Someone tried to jump start my MK7 Golf but got the leads wrong..(don't get me started)

Short version, after some sparks the engine now wont start!!

Changed some blown fuses but still no joy.

Now I'm told he ECU is toast. Could it be that it needs some resetting or something instead?

I'm away from the car from now but would appreciate any advice from anyone that's experienced this before.

Cheers and thanks

Check all fuses.  Check if you have comms with modules.
