Towing a fourtrak with a disco..
Had to drag the 'trak out backwards from its parking spot because the brakes were seized.
Inevitably... 720c59fed456651836004e34552a1c3f.jpg

Well..
The spring was the only thing holding the 2 ends together, as I found out when Kirsty applied the disco brakes and the fourtrak nearly disappeared up its exhaust pipe..
Fortunately, we had 3 of those bars so we stopped, fitted a straight one and all was well from there.
So, yes...
The vectra is now on the road outside the bungalow, much to the chagrin of our neighbours (we have 4 cars out there now) and the fourtrak, which now belongs to me, is safely tucked away until such times as I can start sorting it out - reckon I'm looking at a £2k bill for that...

dude once you've got the shell sorted there isn't to much to do on the engine right ?it is mostly bodywork isn't it? I would take the time to diy the bodywork... it will reduce the costs considerably... and if you still want it in non shine nice flat colour... i would go satin black and diy that also longstory short you could manage to half that estimate or even cut it down to a quarter of it... all depending on what you can diy.

Bit of welding on the rear floor and arches.
Graffiti paint aerosol the shell.
Arch flares
4-6" lift. Half body, half suspension
31" tyres on 15" alloys
Nice front seats
Winch front bumper, box rear.
Exhaust and snorkel.

If I have to buy new, it'll be closer to 2 and a half..

Aye... Keeping it standard I reckon easily under a grand.
But where's the fun in that (the real expensive structural stuff has been done and my eldest has given me the truck so, right now, it owes me nothing)

We've spoken about chucking a 3.0 BMW diesel in it...... Proper pipe dream stuff, that is.

Not really they aren't that expensive but it is a big job.. need to rewire most of the car... but once you've done that it'll have power to match the looks
