Has anyone had any experience with putting a 10.1" Headunit in their Mk4 Golf.

Possibly looking at something like an Eonon or Xtrons 10.1 Android Headunit. Just can't workout whether it'd be too big and get in the way of stuff, or whether I should just cut my losses and go for a standard sized 7" Double Din.

Suggestions, reccomendation and photos much appretiated in advance.

While not a MK4, I've got one in the Beamer and it's fine.  Not amazing, quite slow, but it works and hasn't died yet.  It's an Eonon.

10.1 inch will not fit without you reworking the complete mid console......

So go for a 7 inch double din one and be done with it....

I've got a Sony xav100 which works on andriod auto , and it suits me fine

Problem I find with MK4 is the headunit is far too low down to be of any use as a satnav etc , so I actually just use the screen on my phone for waze-satnav and Spotify for music

I did look at those new pioneer / Sony and alpine massive screens that are mounted on a single din chassis , but as I said I think the mk4 unit is just too low down for any real modern use

Shoulda got a 150 tdi - everyone knows they are best..
