Hi guys long time lurker 1st time poster. I understand there are issues with using aftermarket alarms with the mk4 when it comes to oem alarm deactivation. Has anyone found a way to completely deactivate the oem alarm, or enable the aftermarket alarm to activate/deactivate the deadlocks and deactivate the oem alarm on unlock? Don't fancy pressing 2 buttons on 2 remotes to get in the car, thanks

Difficult but doable. When you open the drivers door you have twenty seconds to turn the ignition on before the alarm goes off even when the OEM system is armed, something you get used to after a short time.

Or you could disconnect the OEM siren and cut the indicator wires coming out of the CCM.The only activity from the original alarm would be a relay inside the CCM clicking away.
