when i bought this 2002 golf 1.8t anniversary,i was told it had a replacement engine,on the log book and the cam belt cover its AUQ----,on the black small tag on the inner wing its AUQ and a different number obviously the original engine number all well and good, took the engine cover off today to do work on the engine bay and hey ho on the engine head where the engine lift eye is it reads BAM,does this mean its got the 225 motor in it ????

What was does the charge pipe go?  K04 would go across the drivers side on top, K03s goes underneath.  BAM is no stronger than any other 1.8t at all, before you start wanking prefusely over it.

I told you there was probably an engine swap for a reason, could've been just the head though so check the rest of the engine.
