Hey guys,

 

so i have a mk4 tdi 1.9 golf and have bought a 1.8t petrol custom exhaust and fitted it. it was described as having a nice low tone but I have to say I expected better results.

 

Is it because diesel engines are noisier than petrol or is there a silencer Im missing?

 

new here and any help would be massively appreciated.

Exhausts are purely down to the person.  Too loud?  Fit more silencers.  Too quite?  Remove silencers.

it's a diesel just remove all the exhaust boxes, straight through pipe done... won't be to loud if you want a deep exhaust note...  just don't be my neighbour...
