Evening tech gurus,I apologise if this is a question that has been asked a 100 times however i searched and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. My question is this i have 05 2.0 TDI with a HDV 6 speed box  fitted which is knackered and i was wondering if the GRF 6 speed will fit in its place.

 

are there any differences between them? any help would be appreciated.

What's wrong with the gearbox? Was the oil ever changed in it, many miles on it? Is it a BKD engine?

Sorry I can't help regards what other gear boxes fit, perhaps someone else will know.
