Thought id throw a quick list up if anyone wants to meet up on Sunday for the trip down to Awesome.

I just checked on the aa route finder n it reckons its about 2 hrs 40 mins i think.

A somehow doubt my beast of a machine, no matter how hard a push her. will be able to keep up with the shadows of the two r32's lol [negative]

Aye was looking at a late mk4 early mk5 before the tax went to £420 a year, am due to come out of my time next june and a get a £6000 payrise from apprentice wage to technician.


Al let you know in the next couple of days if a can make it. Want to come but will have to check if funds allow it.

Av already been looking had to stop myself a couple of times from ringin the bank and asking for a loan, seen a couple that a really like. would want someone who knows what to look out for when buying one to go with me when a final start going to see cars.

Shame you lot aren't going down Friday, coulda tagged along for a bit of the journey anyway, I'm not looking forward to the drive down to Leicester, gotta love some V6 MPG...

TBH it's probably for the best I can't make it... spending time with a few R32s would only lead to me getting disappointed haha.. my car so badly wants to be an R but it's so far from one it's unreal, I had a proper snoop around gti_fly's at inters and had a peak at yours too Lee, I swear everytime I see an R I notice more and more differences between them and the v6 4mo..


Maybe I'll bump into you lot on the Sunday on the way back up North [:P]

^^^^ I honestly didnt think they were all that different mate,is the interior trim etc not the same other than the seats?


All the running gear n stuff is the same isnt it?

Haha yeah it's probably just me noticing all the little things as I really want one... They are pretty similar to be fair! Mine's got the walnut trim and non recaro leathers which probably doesn't help the sportiness factor [lol-lol]


Haven't seen a single R since getting up to Newcastle but there seem to be a couple about on here, will have to look harder!

There arnt many mk4s at all mate!


Mk5s are alot more common up here but i could count on one one hand the amount of mk4s ive seen/know of n thats including mine n my mates!
