I'm having some issues with my auto gearbox on my tdi. I'd not driven the car for over a year and decided to get it MOTed. After spending hours changing parts and getting the failed stuff sorted it was retest day. I got in the car and straight away i could feel something was wrong. It doesn't seem to want to go into 3rd and won't pick up and speed. I sometimes get a grinding noise coming from the gearbox.

I scanned with my tool and got a 00300 for the ATF temp sensor. I cleared that and went onto vcds and could see the Atf temp slowly rising and it seemed pretty normal.

The code is gone but the problem still remains. Could the gearbox be done for?
