Is it just a case of whoever turns up just parks all together like in the video?

That's about as complicated as it getsYes.Then in the evening we watch Wilkymk4 eating his kebab off the ground mixed with grass, twigs and wormsIck!Chuckle.

whilst impersonating Gazza [:DD]

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Also Wilkys antics sound like a normal weekend with my mates.

As Damian said it's on the list of things to do this year!

Haven't got a date or indeed a venue as yet, would like to try somewhere different this year as Billing was getting expensive for day visitors.

I think a trackday would not be practical..it's very expensive to hire a track for a day...like £20k expensive - plus you have all the liability insurance and what not...and even with 100 members that's still £200 a pop. Too much but nice idea. Plus someone will wreck, we may be adults but adrenaline will be running and at least one person will push it too far and maybe even take someone else with them.. [:(]

A field seems best to be honest.

Hmmm I think Xjay might have a point re the track day although there may be another route to including some track day fnsies to the day.

It might be possible to tag the weekend close to a track that already has a day organsed for that weekend then see if it's possible to get a bit of a disxount on the day for a larger group.

Then it's back to the camp site for funsies in the evening [:)]

just an idea?

But the problem with this or any track day as mentioned above is it'll push the cost up,in the past we've had to pay no more than I think about £15 for one nights camping[<:o)].Once we start including track days and similar the cost will go up like a rocket and more people will see this as a competitive event and not just a social event as it's always been before,a format that worked well for a lot of years.

Chris.

have to agree with imagewerks.. I am a prominent member of the Kite buggying community,, and we`ll all go sit at a beach for a chill out ,, bit of kiting,, lots of evening entertainment..  But the second someone mentions racing buggies, . going around markers,.. Lots of the guys pull out cos that isnt what they are interested in,, its the social thing that is more important,. I`d love to come to a meet up, massive one..  But i wont be taking my daily on a track , or donutting it, or anything .. Its my car n i love it, .. . So will keep an eye on this thread, and if its a chill out social,, count me in...

agree with abovee, as much as it would be nice to see all your 1.8T remaped doing silly speeds, i have a 1.4 and would love nothing more than just to park up and check what other people are doing with their golfs to give me some ideas for this years work :)
