This is big news, the UK price list and brochure are now up on the VW website!

Download before they get removed (assuming they've gone up too early)

Looking at £22k for the TSI ACT GT, doesn't really seem much more than the equiv MK6. If you click the images should come up full size.

right, I've done the comparison..I cannot see an option for Dynaudio so I cannot include that

mk6 - £ 23982.75 OTR

mk7 - £ 27324.55 OTR

These are inc VAT and pre-discount, for a 1.4 GT

What specs is that with? The OTR for the MK7 GT is better value IMO as Nav is included.Don't think it's fair to factor in the leather that the run out MK6s have.

Not yet, but I reckon we'll maybe see the 1.8 TSI 180PS and 2.0 TDI 184PS from the Leon and A3 make an appearance.

Find it a bit strange they are only offering the 1.4 TSI ACT 140PS at GT level as its supposed to be the replacement for the old 122PS unit, which is offered lower down the range.

its the same as I have now...metallic, 18s, winter pack, lux pack, sunroof, metallic, dual zone climate. I did add in the higher specced nav but even if I remove that the mk7 is more expensive. The GT will now have F&R parking as standard whereas they were an option on the mk6

Hmm think you'd need to add nav onto the MK6 price to make it a fair comparison.  I personally don't see what people are complaining about, the MK7 pricing seems very reasonable to me as they haven't really risen yet you get more equipment. Going to be more interested to see the leasing prices myself, hoping they'll be able to do an SE or GT at £200pcm. Have been some very good deals on the MK6 Cabriolet recently.

The DVD nav + dynaudio is already in the above price for the mk6. For me, over £27k for a 1.4 Golf is excessive

Been having another look, does seem a touch expensive for some models. 2.0 TDI SE is only £200 cheaper than a new A3 SE with that engine.

Ive worked out that i could buy the eqiuivelant model GT tdi for £500 more than i paid for this one 2 years ago but gaining nav and front and rear parking sensors,i dont think thats too bad especially considering the 18" upgrade is £710 now and it was four hundred and somthing on mine,if i dropped that option it would be less than i bought this for.

25k plus for 2.0 GT tdi and a couple of nice extras i.e. xenons , 18's and metallic, that's quite a lot for a mainstream family diesel hatchback !!!

Hmm they seem to have changed the prices already since all the PR  a couple of weeks ago, very sneaky...

S is now £16,285 (was £16,330)

SE is now £18,990 (was £18,935)

GT is now £22,305 (was £22,050)

Obviously a tactical move, fractionally dropping the entry model price at the last minute to try and make it look better value whilst increasing the price of the models people actually buy.

The 18th October price list contains the original set as documented at the top of this thread, and the 19th October price list has the adjusted figures.

For me this makes the A3 loook better value. Levelling out the spec as much as you can, an A3 2.0 TDI 150 Sport with Comfort pack is £23,335 OTR. A matching Golf 2.0 TDI 150 GT with climate control and colour display MFD now comes out at £23,345... i.e. £10 more.

No idea why they've done this.

Seems like madness - why pitch is so close to Audi ? Maybe trying to rebrand it as a premium car ?

Ah, ok. So you know what wattage the premium nav is ? I have Dynaudio now so am a little spoilt. At the moment, I've specced a mk7 at £27030 and re equivalent a3 sportback is £29855.
