Cheers Damian, the spec & colour selection makes a huge difference. Just had a look around my colleagues' Golf S rental - it's a horribly dull basic spec, steel wheels, no fogs, standard interior, etc.

I've had my GT professionally detailed and multi-coat sealed over 2 days (paintwork, lenses, windows, wheels) by an independent detailer NOT the dealer monkeys that slap on Lifeshine in half an hour. The Pure White seems brighter than the previous Mk 6 Candy White and the detailing really accentuates it further.

But have you convinced the Mrs yet on a GTD rather than A3?

Just got a 23 quid REDUCTION & refund on my insurance for the new GT. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's classed as safer than my old Mk6 GT  Clap and only £20 road tax per year although the order/receipt states that it was free for a new diesel car in this category  Sad

Looks great! Definitely a colour worth considering when mine gets replaced next year.

Not converted her yet, no. I need to test drive them first. I'd really like the GTD I think
